Lord of the Underground: Koby Dominic

Koby Dominic is a friend of Jimmy Randalf. They competed together in the Brutal Fists tournament, held by Edmund Gareth. Koby trains in the art of MMA, and has also excelled in playing basketball. Recently, he hears of a new underground tournament happening. Looking to increase his skills, Koby takes the chance to compete in the Lord of the Underground tournament. 

Special Moves:

Energy Jabs:  Koby shoots an energy shot from a punch of fist at his opponent

Twirling Roundhouse: He hops towards his opponent while twirling with his legs extending

Sprawl:  He counterattacks his opponent's attack and slams him/her to the ground by his/her head

Double-Leg Slam: He grabs onto his opponent's legs and slams him/her to the ground

Kick Shot: He kicks an energy sphere at his opponent. 

X-Ray Move: 

Queens Hustler: Koby does a series of punches and kicks at his opponent, ending it all with an uppercut, breaking their chin and sending them flying. Right before the opponent lands, Koby roundhouse kicks them, breaking their temple.   

Final Blow:

Ki Pitcher: Koby conjures up a small energy ball in his right hand and then holds it with both hands like a pitcher. He then throws the ki ball at his opponent's head, blowing it up.

Pipeline: Koby gets out a lead pipe and uppercuts his opponent's head off. As the headless opponent falls down, Koby looks at the screen and makes a "huh?" gesture as if he's saying, "Nope, nothing to see here!"

Intro Sequence: Koby cracks his knuckles, looks towards his opponent and says, "This is gonna be fun!" as he goes to his battle stance

Outro Sequence: Koby shouts "WHOOP!!! There it is!" and pretends to shoot a basketball. He then says, "Yeah!" and leaves the scene.

Arcade Mode:

Intro: 

(We open on a neighborhood of Queens, New York City.)

Koby (v/o): This is Queens, New York. My hometown. 

(A Tribe Called Quest's "Check The Rhime" plays in the background as we see Koby working out.)

Koby (v/o): I've been here my own life, and I've been fighting here. I didn't need get to tell you my name. My name's Koby Dominic. You may remember me from the Brutal Fists tournament that me and my homie, Jimmy Randalf compete in. I think either he or myself won that tournament.

(We then see Koby walking down the street with his girlfriend, Taylor.)

Koby (v/o): As you may have heard, I now have a girlfriend, and she cares about my well-being…a whole lot. 

Taylor (voiced by Reagan Gomez -Preston) Koby, I hope you're not looking to enter into any more of those tournaments? 

Koby: Aw, come on. Whatever makes you think that?

Taylor: Well, you kinda have that look like you're ready to fight at any moment. 

Koby: Who me?

Taylor: Yes.

Koby:…Okay, it's because I have been training for this new tournament. 

Taylor: What new tournament?

Koby: It's called Lord of the Underground.

Taylor: Lord of the Underground? It's that like Brutal Fists?

Koby: Yeah, minus the crazy shit, and that god damn Edmund Gareth. 

Taylor: Okay, I just hope you don't get killed in those tournaments. 

Koby: Baby, I'll be fine.

(Koby looks at the sky. )

Koby: I know I will do good at this tournament. If I can take on a lot of crazy shit in the Brutal Fists tournaments, then I damn sure can handle myself in the Lord of the Underground tournament, too.

Rival Cutscene: Derek Wade

(Scene takes place in Osiris' Underground Arena. The DJ announces the next fight.)

DJ: Tonight's the night, people. The finals are set and raring to go. We have a special guest in the building. You may have seen this cat in the Brutal Fists tournament, now he's here competing in our tournament, please welcome, Koby Dominic! He will be taking on B-ball sensation, Derek Wade!  

Koby: Hold up, I'm fighting against number one draft pick, Derek Wade? 

Derek: Yeah, the Derek Wade!

Koby: When did you get into fighting tournaments?

Derek: I practice Tae Kwon Do. Gotta keep my anger from getting the best of me. 

Koby: Well, let's see if those skills are just as real as the ones you got on the court.

Final Boss: Osiris

(After defeating Derek, Koby is declared the winner.)

Koby: I beat the number one draft pick! Lucky me! 

(Koby is then approached by Osiris' secretary, a slender female wearing a business suit.)

Secretary: Mr. Dominic

Koby: Yo. 

Secretary: He's ready to see you. 

(We then see Koby entering Osiris' office, which is a wide, rectangular office with a view of the New York skyline in the background. The room is halfway dark, except for the desk as Osiris sits in the dark, concealing himself. Osiris puffs smoke before talking.)

Osiris: Haven't I seen you from somewhere? 

Koby: Um, no?

Osiris: Yeah, I have. Aren't you Koby Dominic? Aren't you from Edmund's tournament? 

Koby: Yeah, what about it?  

Osiris: Mr. Gareth has told me about your fighting skills, and let me just say that I am honored to have you in my presence. 

Koby: Uh, thanks man. But who are you, and why haven't I gotten my money yet?

Osiris: My name is Osiris. I'm the one behind the Lord of the Underground tournament, and as far as your money goes... 

(Osiris then emerges from the darkness, cigar in hand.)

Osiris: You'll have to take it from my dead hands. 

Koby: Alright, I'm down for one more fight. 

Osiris: Fine by me…

(Osiris gets up from his seat, pushing his desk aside. He cracks his knuckles preparing to fight.)

Osiris: Business time starts now! 

Ending:

(Nas' "The World Is Yours" plays in the background as we see Koby playing basketball while Taylor looks on.)

Koby: And another swish from Koby Dominic. 

Taylor: Bravo, bravo, Koby…

(Koby walks over to Taylor and kisses her. We then see Derek Wade making his way to the basketball court.)

Ball player: Yo, Koby, look who it is. It's Derek Wade. 

Koby: Yo, Derek. You came back for a rematch? 

Derek: I am, but I'm not looking for a fight. I hear you play ball, too. 

(Derek bounces the ball towards Koby)

Derek: Check up. 

Koby: You challenging me to a one on one? Oh it's on now. First to 15 wins.

Derek: Bring it! 

(Flux Pavilion's "I Can't Stop" plays in the background as we are treated to a montage of Koby and Derek playing against each other in a pick up game of basketball. Flux Pavilion's "I Can't Stop" stops playing as we then see Derek with the ball in his hands, staring at Koby as Kurtis Blow's "Basketball" plays in the background.)

Derek: First to 15 wins, huh? Well, watch this!

(Derek drives to the hoop, and goes for a layup but the ball rolls off the rim. Koby grabs the rebound, and retreats to the three point line.)

Koby: Koby Dominic, his three pointer…

(Koby releases the ball as it goes through the hoop.)

Koby: BANG!

Derek: Hey, that's my line. 

Koby: It's mines now. Good game though.

Derek: Same to you. 

Koby: Hey, you thinking about joining the Brutal Fists tournament? 

Derek: Yeah, I might join after the season ends. Once I get my championship ring, then I'm gonna get the rematch everyone wants. 

Koby: I'll be waiting.

(Koby smiles as he throws a basketball behind him as it goes through the hoop. Taylor hugs and kisses Koby. The X-Ecutioners' "Let It Bang" plays throughout as we cut to the Lord of the Underground logo. The credits roll as we see the characters in their stages.)
